Secretary-General

Dominik P. Nieszporowski

Dominik P. Nieszporowski

Dominik is a senior at Harvard pursuing a joint degree in Applied Mathematics and Economics. Originally from Warsaw, Poland, he has been involved with Model United Nations since high school, both as a delegate and committee chair at several conferences throughout Europe, Asia, and North America. Even though his primary areas of interest are focused on business and finance, he has always thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to discuss major world issues with people from diverse backgrounds. Dominik is a big sports fan: having been brought up as a staunch Chelsea London supporter, he regularly practices football (the one played with foot and ball, not hands and egg), tennis, and swimming. You can email Dominik at secgen@hnmun.org.

Director-General

Sanghyeon Park

Sanghyeon Park

Sang is a senior at Harvard College, majoring in Environmental Science and Public Policy with language citations in Spanish and Mandarin. He was previously the Under-Secretary General for Delegate Relations at HNMUN 2011. Born in South Korea but raised in New Jersey, Sang has both attended and staffed Model UN conferences since high school; for better or for worse, HNMUN 2012 will be his 23rd conference. When not in Western Business Attire, Sang enjoys running along the Charles, studying mixology, and listening to all sorts of music – sometimes simultaneously. You can e-mail Sang at dg@hnmun.org.

Administration

Samuel B. Pokross

Samuel B. Pokross

Sam is a junior at Harvard College, majoring in Linguistics with a focus on the psychological aspects of language processing. Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, he has participated in Model UN for seven years, as a delegate in high school and as a staffer in college. He has served on both the substantive and executive sides of HNMUN and is returning this year to lead the dedicated, industrious, and enthusiastic Administration organ. When he is not busy with Model UN, you can usually find him coding data in a linguistics laboratory, going for long walks along the Charles River, or watching mind-numbing television shows on his couch. You can email Sam at info@hnmun.org.

Business

Nora A. Tufano

Nora A. Tufano

Nora is a junior at Harvard College, studying History and Literature in the Modern Europe field with a minor in French.  She has served the Business organ of HNMUN for the past two years, and has been participating in Model UN on both the substantive and executive sides since her freshman year of high school. Born and raised in Cambridge, Massachusetts, the trek to HNMUN is practically the longest commute she ever has to make.  Outside of Model UN, she also enjoys writing, traveling, and indulging an embarrassing penchant for show-tunes. You can email Nora at business@hnmun.org.

Delegate Relations

Maxwell D. Dikkers

Maxwell D. Dikkers

Max is a junior at Harvard College majoring in Government with a minor in Mind, Brain and Behavior. He is half-Dutch, half-American but spent his childhood years in London, UK. Maxwell was first introduced to MUN in high school and has worked in the Delegate Relations organ for his past two conferences. While his plans beyond graduation are undecided, he hopes to go into public service, either in the US or ‘across the pond’. Besides HNMUN, Maxwell enjoys playing or watching sports with his friends, a good meal, and going into Boston.  You can email Max at delrel@hnmun.org.

Finance

Madhavi V. Duvvuri

Madhavi V. Duvvuri

Madhavi is a sophomore at Harvard College, concentrating in Neurobiology with a secondary in Economics. Originally from India, and currently residing in central Massachusetts, Madhavi has been involved with MUN since high school, and has developed a passion for international affairs and policymaking. She is particularly interested in the healthcare and economics of developing countries. Her interests include being a tennis fanatic, cheering on Roger Federer, catching up on her favorite TV shows (there are far too many), and going on spontaneous car rides with her friends. You can reach Madhavi at finance@hnmun.org.

General Assembly

Gillian T. Farrell

Gillian T. Farrell

Gillian is a junior at Harvard College, majoring in Chemistry. Originally from Long Island, New York and Dublin, Ireland, she has always had an interest in international affairs and has been a part of Model United Nations since her freshman year of high school (NMUN 2012 will be her sixteenth conference). Gillian previously directed the Historical General Assembly at HMUN 2011 and is thrilled to be back with her favorite organ, the GA.  In her time spent apart from Model UN, she enjoys playing lacrosse, having extended meals with friends, and exploring new cities. You can email Gillian at info@hnmun.org.

Economic and Social Council

Giacomo Bagarella

Giacomo Bagarella

Giacomo is a junior at Harvard College, studying Government with a secondary field in Psychology and a citation in Arabic language. He directed SOCHUM at HNMUN 2011 and is an active member of the ICMUN traveling team. Italian by birth and sentiment, Giacomo has spent most of his life abroad; he has lived in Argentina, Vietnam, and Macedonia. Giacomo is a connoisseur of good foods (he is a skilled cook himself), fine football (the real kind, which he plays and follows), and history. Giacomo’s plans for the future involve working for human rights and development NGOs and being an incorruptible politician. You can email Giacomo at info@hnmun.org.

Specialized Agencies

Serena L. Bai

Serena L. Bai

Serena is a junior at Harvard College, studying Applied Mathematics and Economics with a language citation in French.  She was previously the Director of the Historical Security Council at HNMUN 2011.  Born in China and raised in Ohio, Serena has participated in Model UN since her junior year of high school, and she is excited to return to lead her favorite organ, the creatively brilliant SA.  Serena enjoys big cities, foreign foods, and good company.  You can email Serena at info@hnmun.org.
