Raised simultaneously on Long Island, New York and in Dublin, Ireland, she has always had an interest in international affairs and has been a part of Model United Nations since her freshman year of high school (HNMUN 2013 will be her seventeenth conference). Gillian previously served as Under-Secretary-General for the General Assembly at HNMUN 2012, and is thrilled to be on Secretariat once again.  In her time spent apart from Model UN, she enjoys roaming around Boston and Cambridge, having extended meals with friends, and traveling as much as possible. You can email Gillian at secgen@hnmun.org.

Samuel B. Pokross

Samuel B. Pokross

Sam is a senior at Harvard College, majoring in Linguistics with a focus on the psychological aspects of language processing. Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, he has participated in Model UN for eight years, as a delegate in high school and as a staffer in college. He served as the Under-Secretary-General for Administration for HNMUN 2012. He is excited to be returning this year to serve as the Director-General for HNMUN 2013. When he is not busy with Model UN, you can usually find him coding data in a linguistics laboratory, going for long walks along the Charles River, or watching mind-numbing television shows on his couch. You can email Sam at dg@hnmun.org.

Born in Australia and raised in Hong Kong, she joined MUN as a freshman in college right here in the Administrative organ of HNMUN, and has staffed MUN conferences on both executive and substantive sides. She is extremely passionate about international development, with health, education and women’s empowerment being her particular interests. Outside of handling MUN registrations, she enjoys playing competitive table tennis (it’s a sport!), classical music, and good food. Jeannie is the person to go to with all your registration, payment and logistical questions: you may contact her at info@hnmun.org.
