HNMUN 2013: International Photo Contest
In hopes of exploring the many unique and different ways in which the United Nations can be looked at, the Delegate Relations staff of HNMUN 2013 is pleased to announce our International Photo Contest. Given the diversity of all of you, this contest is intended to facilitate dialogue and learning within and among delegations before and during conference.
Submission Requirements
Delegations are requested to submit photos that are based on one of two themes. The first theme revolves around a value that embodies or represents the work of the United Nations in the international community. Delegates can highlight the UN’s efforts to improve the global community in a variety of ways ranging from their prevention of human rights violations, provision of health care or even drafting and implementation of the Millennium development goals. The second theme is diversity. Each delegation adds to the cultural experience that HNMUN is proud to be a host of. It is up to the participants to be creative and unique in their interpretation of these themes.
Any delegation attending HNMUN 2013 is welcome to submit up to three photographs. Submissions must be sent to delrel@hnmun.org by 1 February 2013 and must include:
- Name of delegation
- Name of photographer
- Up to 3 photos per delegate in .jpg format
- The location of where the picture was taken, a title, and a brief caption of no more than 50 words.
By sending these photographs, delegates give permission to HNMUN 2013 to print and use them before, during, and after the 2013 conference on our website (http://hnmun.org/the-delegate), in print at conference, and in conference publications.
Recognition & Awards
Top submissions, as determined by the Delegate Relations Staff, will be displayed at the business booths around the Boston Park Plaza Hotel during the conference. The top photo and six honorable mentions from each continent, as determined by the HNMUN 2013 Secretariat, will be displayed at the Friday night Delegate Cocktail Hour. Certificates of acknowledgement shall also be provided.
