Guide to Applying

Please read through all the following instructions carefully.

Please note that HNMUN only accept applications submitted directly via our conference registration system, MUNBase, which is linked below. Registration through any third-parties are considered invalid. There is no minimum delegation size required to compete at HNMUN 2024. We allow and encourage international students to attend conference – in fact, over 50% of participants are international in a typical year!

If there are any discrepancies between the information on this page and our Conference Policies, please note that our Conference Policies take precedence.

OVERVIEW OF STEPS

1. Read the Conference Policies.

2. Submit an application on MUNBase, and fill out this form if you are interested in the Specialized Agencies.

3. Pay the Registration Fee.

4. HNMUN review of application on a rolling basis.

5. If accepted, pay the Delegate Fees and Faculty Advisor Fees.

6. Submit a request for an invitation letter.

7. Complete hotel reservation.

8. Upload delegate policy acknowledgment to MUNBase and submit to this Google form.


1. Read the Conference Policies.

Please note that all applicants must be current university students pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in order to be eligible for the conference.

2. Submit an application on MUNBase, and fill out this form if you are interested in the specialized agencies.

Please read through our Conference Policies before starting the registration process. By submitting an application on MUNBase, you affirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the policies and conditions outlined in our Conference Policies. You also confirm that you are a university student currently pursuing an Associate’s degree or a Bachelor’s degree.

If you are interested in the Specialized Agencies, please fill out this form to indicate your committee preferences.

3. Pay Registration Fee.

As described in our Conference Policies, your application will not be considered complete until you have submitted the non-refundable Registration Fee.

You will receive a QuickBooks invoice via email, which will contain the link through which you can pay your fee.

4. HNMUN review OF application on a rolling basis.

Please expect to receive a decision within 1-2 months of the date that you complete both Steps 2 and 3 listed above.

5. Pay Delegate FEES and Faculty Advisor Fees.

Please refer to our Conference Policies for the appropriate fees, deadlines, and refund policies. You can also find fee listings here.

You will receive a second invoice via email after you have been accepted to conference. This invoice will look similar to, but is separate from, the invoice for the Registration Fee.

6. *Submit a request for an Invitation letter.

*This step is recommended for international delegates who have already been accepted to HNMUN 2024 and need to apply for a visa to enter the United States. Such delegates may submit a request for an invitation letter, via this Google Form. The letter can be presented at your visa interview to demonstrate the purpose of your travel. Requests must be submitted by November 1, 2023 to HNMUN, although delegates should begin the visa application process with the U.S. Government as soon as possible.

Please note that only delegates who have been accepted to HNMUN 2024 may submit a request for an invitation letter. HNMUN will not respond to any other requests. Additionally, please note that HNMUN can only issue invitation letters to current university students pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.

7. Complete hotel reservation.

Information about the hotel and our conference venue can be found under the Information page of our website.

8. UPLOAD DELEGATE Policy Acknowledgement to munbase and this Google Form.

Make sure to download, complete and then upload the Policy Acknowledgement to your MUNBase application and the Google form above. The delegate Policy Acknowledgement is now available on the Information page.
