Topic Summary

In the reality TV specialized committee, delegates will represent reality TV stars and be tasked with challenges that will push them to work together to capture the attention of fans and form connections. The committee will be set in a reality TV show where the chair will represent the show host and guide committee members through debate surrounding issues within the reality TV industry and on the show itself. Since this committee will combine elements of general assembly and crisis, delegates should come expecting the unexpected and should be ready to think on their feet. Get ready for lights, camera, and drama!

Director’s Letter

Dear Delegates,

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Reality TV Specialized Body of the 2027 session of Harvard National Model United Nations! I am honored to serve as your Director and cannot wait to see how you all collaborate and resolve key issues during this committee.

My name is Becca Faber and I am a Junior in Quincy House studying Government and Economics. I started participating in Model UN freshman year and have absolutely loved my time competing on the college circuit. Last year, I directed the GADHOC at HMUN Boston and a specialized body about the rap industry at HNMUN. These experiences motivated me to become more involved this year and direct another spec at HNMUN this year! I am also ahead delegate for our competitive team. For our high school conference, HMUN, I serve as under secretary general of regional and specialized bodies. I hope to use these experiences and lessons to deliver a rewarding and memorable experience for all of you.

Aside from Model UN, I enjoy sewing and thrifting (as a combo) and also love to hike in my hometown of Albuquerque, New Mexico. I also consult for the Harvard Japan Policy Network where I create policy recommendations for Japan’s digital agency surrounding artififical intelligence and education.
